Aloha!

We would like to introduce ourselves.  We are Heiki and Malia.  One day (actually, it took several years in our minds), we created Makakumu Enterprises, which is a collaboration between two sisters (and now pulling talents from other close family members),  who want to bring to the world helpful resources and inspiring ideas (maybe a little shopping) for families. Our name of our family company is Hawaiian, in honor of our mother’s family heritage. Maka, means”Eye,” or “To see” and Kumu means”Teacher,” or “helper.”  We chose this combination because our mission is to spark, impassion, embolden your awareness, interest and excitement and channel your thinking in directions that may be new to you or dust off some old ones.

We encourage, no want you to, write to us and comment to help us on our journey.

As our ideas are slowly coming out of creative thinking and becoming entities, you will be seeing more and more of our websites popping up.  We are currently working diligently on inkflowers.com and visionandlearning.org.  Our goal is to create a membership community between all of our websites to again inspire ideas and communication we couldn’t think of on our own.

In the future, we will be adding sites regarding improving your game in golf by enhancing your vision - www.eyegolf.net, increasing your IQ through brain exercises - www.iqeyes.net, for fun - boutiques where you can buy recycled or new items - www.mommietools.com, www.sewmom.com, www.digitalcourtyard.com, as well as fun activities for kiddos - www.familynightout.net.  For the business and corporate minded, we will also offer consulting services in one hour blocks for small businesses including logo design, website templates, grant writing and proposals, thesis help, business plans, and project managment with an emphasis on SAP/CRM - www.1hourconsulting.com

We hope that you will check back soon and don’t be shy about sharing your suggestions or ideas to further enhance our sites.  Remember, we are designing them with you in mind, so we need to hear from you often!

Mahalo,

Heiki and Malia
